About Me
Figuring out how to effectively engineer my website to explain my business and help potential clients understand why they might have an appetite for my services is difficult. Naturally, one is inclined to list credentials, experience, and references: while there is great value in that (which you can find on my FAQ page), I prefer to share some stories with you.
During my childhood, I must have given the adults a good laugh at holiday and family gatherings. While the other kids were running around, I could be found tapping my pointer finger against my bottom lip as I contemplated the best way to organize the gifts... by person, by size, by color, bag vs. box. For me, there was no better fun than "organized fun."
By the time I was 8, "mama's little helper" was fanning out cocktail napkins, rolling and tying silverware with curled ribbon, making turkey-shaped Thanksgiving menus, and creating holiday centerpieces.
Nurturing a lifelong love affair with the excitement of the kitchen, I flew to Australia at 21 years old to work in both French and Indian restaurants. Those incredible experiences led me to formalize my commitment to cooking with a culinary arts degree, an apprenticeship as a pastry chef, and eventually open my own catering company.
Stories such as these form the foundation of my passion and enjoyment of organizing, cooking, event planning, and entertaining. With the encouragement of friends and family, I decided to combine my body of work with my love of helping people.
